The economic destruction coming out of the Biden administration sweeps far and wide, and now it is affecting production at eight different Ford Motor Company plants.

“Difficulties in obtaining semiconductor chips will prompt Ford Motor to temporarily halt or scale back auto production at eight plants in North America, the company said Friday,” reports Fox News.

“The announcement by the major U.S. automaker – set to take effect next week — continued a series of supply-chain setbacks that have affected the nation’s economy in recent months,” reported Fox News.

“Ford warned Thursday that a lack of chip availability would likely hurt production in the company’s current financial quarter,” according to Fox News.

“The chip shortage, combined with the impact of the omicron variant of the c****av***s, were a difficult 1-2 punch for the automaker in its fourth quarter,” reported Fox News.

U.S. plants expected to see work suspended are in Michigan, Chicago, and Kentucky.

Other plants that will be affected are in Cuatitlan, Mexico and Ontario, Canada.

A Chines invasion of Taiwan would likely devastate Taiwan's chip manufacturing and cause a world-wide recession. China has violated all its promises, so we need to be strong, which is all they respect. I think it's time to recognize Taiwan and sign a mutual defense pact. China has no real cards to play in response, cutting trade with the US hurts them more than us.

Whoa, milo. You said in previous posts that the economy under Joe the Sniff was better than ever.
Why is no one buying anything then?

That beside the point, it proves that the PLAN-demic h**x is destroying middle class small companies and now also big old company that represents America autos worldwide which a lot of Americans are depending to live on to take care of their family. This is a shame. Is this what Biden calls "Build Back Better?"

When China flooded the market with cheap microchips, that caused a lot of companies that were in the business here in the US to close or shut down their production operations.
Ford and other corporate microchip users were allowed to outsource to other countries for their cheap chips. Of course, the politicians that were in on the scheme were generously compensated for their help in allowing this move from domestic to international sources of microchips for the products and equipment that we, the citizens, use in our day to day living (donations to re-e******n coffers, insider trading tips, and other perks).
In my hometown there were two major manufacturing facilities that made microchips for all the electronics industry. One of the companies shut their operations down completely and the other smaller company, layed off employees but kept a smaller production capability intact.
Now, with the severe supply chain shortage of microchips, the companies that went whole hog with outsourcing are unable to get what they need to build and sell their various products! Karma anybody?
In my town, the company that shut down completely is now coming back to their old facility and expediting rebuilding the facility to meet the demands of the domestic companies promising an economic boon to the local economy with thousands of jobs and billions in taxable revenue going into local coffers.
The other company that didn't shut down is now expanding and hiring personnel to meet the industry needs now. It was a crazy situation that the smaller company went into the international market and supplied the needs that china couldn't or wouldn't take care of. That is what kept them alive and profitable during the whole fiasco!

The problem with the US is that we have Joe Biden who is serving the g*******ts which is China is part of it. Plus the majority of top brasses in the Pentagon are also serving the g*******ts. So, who knows what is going to happen to Taiwan or even the United States; it is nothing worse than having enemies from within willing to destroy the country.

You all are in severe cognitive decline...Ford's problem is with supply chain issues that started before Biden's watch...and are the results of things no president can control.

Morning wood
I’ve got your cognitive decline h*****g! You may be right but it probably didn’t help that the t***s secretary took off on medical leave to practice his new mommyhood sk**ls! I’m confused in that all of the other important Cabinet Secretary’s can use remote devices to conduct and direct their staffs in taking care of the duties and requirements in their job descriptions. The use of cell phones, laptop computers, oh and ZOOM should keep them connected 24/7/365 or 366.
So wood, what’s up with all that???
