Well.....at least you didn't ask if I had your W-2 while I'm eating my lunch......
No I haven't but, this little pkg will be in my mail box in the morning
Thanks for all the bills and junk mail---lol Sometimes I actually get a check in the mail. No fruitcake for you but I'd leave a gift certificate to your favorite burger joint in the box.--I am a grateful postal customer.

Will be much appreciated! Did you know today was National Thank a Mail Carrier day?
Me neither, till management announced it over the PA, and told us there were donuts in the break room.
Thank you! And thanks for letting us know. Two of my brothers are mail carriers, so I will have to send them a quick text to see if they got any special gifts today. One of them delivers mail to an Amish community and they often leave goodies for him ... home-made bread, cakes, cookies, etc. .... even when it isn't a special day.
Hope you enjoyed your special day ... and your donuts!

Eh, just another day trudging through snow doing my job. I passed on the donuts. I try to have eating habits that keep my body on schedule, if you know what I mean.
I'm new to my route, only been on it a month, but it's mine till I choose a different one, die, or retire. Lots of nice people, but it takes time to get to know them. One lady yesterday insisted that I come stand in her entry way because it was so cold out, and have some coffee. It was awful coffee! Instant, probably, but she was so nice, caring, and sweet to me, and it was so cold out that it was a good cup of coffee!

I imagine as long as the coffee was hot it was worth downing. I always feel sorry for the mail carriers when it's cold, cuz those little vehicles they drive don't look too warm to me.
My brothers work in mostly rural areas. One of them has a couple of elderly people he has had to help a few times because they had fallen. Don't know what they would've done without him. Above and beyond. Anyway, I don't think they have to worry about their routes changing and didn't know they did that to you.

What , you get ‘breaks’ ??
No matter how poorly financially run the postal dept. is run no matter what they sure get it done. Here on Kauai this little island out in the middle of the ocean where I live the postal people amaze us with there consistent dependability every day.

Must really be a tough day to suffer through,
Delivering mail in Kauai.
Kinda makes the mind wander . No ?
Suntanned bodies dripping wet from the pool , coming out to get their mail.
A nice tropical breeze constantly blowing.
Hollowed out pineapple drinks with little umbrella. Yeah, no rest for the weary.
The mail must be delivered through Sun and rain , and gently blowing breezes.
Damn, I wish I was back there.
In honor of the day,and of you of course...Thank-You!
You know, on Thursday, I was walking back to my vehicle after delivering a 5 block deadhead (deliver down, walk back) on a busy street walking against a 20-25mph North wind, and snowing to beat the band. Wind chill was like -13, or something like that. It was miserable! Traffic was at a crawl, and 6 different people honked their horns, and gave me a thumbs up. That, and a terrible cup of coffee got me through the rest of the day.
I sincerely appreciate y'alls thanks, but I'm not your carrier. I want y'all to thank YOUR carrier. Leave a short note on your box, a bottle of cold water when it's hot out, shovel the snow from your steps, and porch so they can get to your box without fear.
It's a hard job, and those little things make a difference!!
