Is it ok to imply something nasty, degrading or sexual about another person's spouse if that person is a Public Servant? If so, is it ok then to respond in kind, and imply something negative about the posters spouse? Just getting opinions here!

Not unless there is t***h to it and it is pertinent to the role of the public servant.

I agree and I was recently guilty of this. I feel horrible about it. I did the very thing I didn't like.

Yeah, this is true. Making fun or saying things about kids is never OK unless it's a positive i.e. he's a nice young man, what beautiful girls they are.....

This is true, the venom from Rush Limbaugh against Chelsea Clinton when she was a child was repugnant. Once she was politically active like three of Trumps foul spawn were she became fair game for criticism.

Chelsea was 18-20 by the last two years of Bill's term. Barron was 12-16, yet it didn't slow the Left down from attacking a young child with a disability.
Want to try again?
As far as Trump's other kids, they were full game, much like Biden's crack head son is full game.
I remember Mrs Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bushes, and Trump as largley staying out of politics and being everything from graceful First Ladies to Moms who happened to be in the White House.
I also remember Mrs. Roosevelt, Kennedy, Clinton, and Obama deserving of what they got in bad publicity.
Just my opinion.

Don't forget the ugly remarks toward Trumps young son by ugly, crude, Trump h**ers. That absolutely was not ok!
