Apparently, I got the wrong impression. You seemed to have missed the fact that politics is a cut throat game.
Political warfare gets particularly nasty during campaigns and primaries. Candidates pull out all the stops when trashing opponents.

Wh**ever is going on between Trump and DeSantis is child's play compared to the Obama/Hillary primary back in 2008.

Obama and Hillary took the game to a new low, that was political warfare at its dirtiest. Obama’s illegal shenanigans in the 2008 Democrat primaries were far worse than Clinton’s.

Hillary went in armed with entitlement, she believed it was her God given right to be POTUS. But, even with Alinsky's rules to guide her, hard as she tried, Hillary could not compete with a trained Community Organizer.

The Obama Campaign encouraged and created an army to steal caucus packets, falsify documents, change results, allow unregistered people to v**e, scare and intimidate Hillary supporters, stalk them, threaten them, lock them out of their polling places, silence their voices and stop their right to v**e.

Political junkies will recall that Obama gained crucial momentum after his surprise win of the Iowa primary. He won in Iowa by breaking the law and busing in supporters to v**e. Everyone in Iowa could see it with their own eyes – and that includes the entire national press corps.

Thanks to these and other strong-arm tactics, Obama won victories in all but one of the caucuses, even in states such as Maine where Hillary had been leading by double digits in the polls.

After Obama won the presidency, the democrat party was in disarray, Hillary supporters were brokenhearted, so, in an effort to patch up the party and pacify Hillary and her supporters, he offered her the Obama Peace Prize and appointed her to his cabinet as SecState - a job far beyond her capabilities.

Yeah, politics is a dirty game, and no one plays as dirty as the democrats.
