Olympic athletes have a limited time to compete so most have to go to China or never compete in an Olympics.

I do not intend to judge anyone on this. I find the phone issue interesting. I use a Tracfone so I suppose I qualify as a burner user. Although I have some personal data on my phone, I do not use it to the extent of most people. At some time soon I hope, I will retire and travel more. China is not on my bucket list of places I really want to visit, but it isn't on my no fly list either. North Korea and San Francisco are on that list.
