Ebola Scare: Just For Practice?

I'm starting to wonder about this. When the Flu comes around each year, all of a sudden millions of people will have it within a month's time. Yet this Ebola outbreak in Africa started last spring or before and the victims still just number in the thousands. When you consider the really poor medical care and lack of cleanliness over there, doesn't it make you wonder why so few have it?

After all this time, if this had been the Flu, millions would have had it here and all over the rest of the world too.

All the uproar and hoopla over Ebola seems really inconsistent to me with the reality of how this disease has actually progressed, and I'm wondering if maybe we aren't really preparing for something worse. Certainly, a lot of sloppiness in health care procedures is being exposed and trumpeted by our media, and hospitals all over the country are being put on notice to shape up.

Ebola patients are trickling in, just the barest trickle, but enough to expose procedural weak spots in our airports and hospitals, and enough fear has been generated that these weak spots are causing alarm and getting a lot of attention.

I'm suspecting the very real possibility that all this Ebola scare has a very different purpose, because the reality just doesn't justify the level of media attention and hype. Why are our health care facilities being put under the microscope like this? Is something a lot worse than Ebola about to be unleashed on us? Is bio-war looming? I don't trust our government to ever tell us the real t***h. I trust them to mislead us for their own purposes and nothing more, and this Ebola scare reeks of rotting fish.

I'm starting to wonder about this. When the Flu co... (show quote)

Obama has opened the borders, a big reason he won't stop all flights out of Africa. This open border policy has increased the number of TB cases, and this new child respiratory illness. And, now we have Ebola.

More immigrants, mainly illegal, the better, so when he declares amnesty they will become new Democrats. He doesn't give a damn about us, or this country...only his legacy of destroying the Republican Party.

There are many out there that believe this modern stand of Ebola was purposely unleashed in Africa to keep out the Chinese.
Up until 8 of them contracted the disease, they were buying up every resource in sight.

Personally, I've yet to form an opinion, but like you would never expect a full story from this administration.

These last two sentences of the opinions you have submitted are sentiments that I have come to acknowledge as unvarnished t***h.

I have relinquished all confidence in government or media in regard to the t***hs that are hidden beneath the veils of disinformation that spew from the mouths of these perjurers.
