This has been a horrible example of what can happen and DOES happen when the wrong people are in office.
Please, ANYONE, explain to me why the National Guard wasn’t called out to respond to the thousand or more fellow Americans stuck on home soil in the freezing cold with no food, no medical supplies ?
Isn’t this exactly Why we have our National Guard ?

Some crazy liberals were trying to blame the newly elected Republican governor who has not even taken office yet.

That seems to be par for the course for the left.

This is the problem we've had here for 4 years. Demoncrat reps and gov have screwed the pooch on almost every thing in this state and now they are trying to blame the newly elected Repubs, who haven't been sworn into office, for the problem on I-95 which on a good day is almost bumper to bumper at 80 to 90 MPH.

It's "OK" to call out the National Guard to replace the mandated furloughed of "unvaxed" health care workers, but helping freezing and stranded motorists don't do anything to juice up the fear porn of the s**mdemic.

For one thing, people need to GROW UP and stop thinking that every time something goes wrong it's the "governments" fault and they have to come fix it. Some simple things people can do in the winter, and any other time for that matter, would make things much more bearable in situations like this.
1. Never let you fuel gauge get below 1/2 tank
2. Put a couple of heavy blankets or sleeping bags in your vehicle.
3. Keep plenty of bottled water in your vehicle, along with some snacks.
This is especially true for people in areas where winter weather is common.
STOP BLAMING OTHERS for your own failure to prepare.
You sound like Hillary.
Throw a pack of disposable hand warmers in the too, just for the heck of it.

I agree, however in a freak case like this one there’s a damned good reason for people to expect help from the government, that’s WHY we have a government!

I have traveled that road many times. It is a nightmare anytime. It's still wintertime, though. As far as the weather is concerned it's just another road.

It’s still a complete FUNBAR in this day and age. With the present technology and equipment available and the manpower to use it, there’s NO excuse for those people to be subjected to being stuck there with NO assistance, even if it was just hot food and gasoline (fuel) and medical assistance. If only one person dies it’s on the head of the Governor ( present, not Elect). He could have and SHOULD have called out ALL available resources to help those people.!

I don't see a difference in who ever is in power, everyone from the Northern states know that the Virginians don't have a clue about ow to deal with a snow storm. This was proven yesterday.

Demonrats don’t think of simple solutions they rely on blame! Those are great tips!
