I absolutely agree. Many on this board need to read the book "The Monster of Jekyll Island" about the formation of the Federal Reserve. I have read the John F Kennedy wanted to repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and return the coining of money to the US Treasury Department. Several articles along the same line indicated that was the reason behind his assassination.
More obligatory reading on the subject would be "Web Of Debt" (2007) by Ellen Brown. It takes you through the history of money, banking, financial crises here and abroad, is well-researched with source-notes, and offers t***sitional solutions. Also it reads in a way anyone can understand. :)
