Pence is the only RINO even contemplating an primary challenge, the nomination is clearly Trump's, if he wants it.

All other potential candidates have either clearly said, or strongly hinted, that they will not run against Trump.

Trump has said that he will not commit to (announce?) a decision until after the mid-term e******n.

Welcome to Donald's Suspense Theater . 'The Donald' is Surely Basking in the Attention .

Several possible candidates are thought to have "contingency" plans in the works, just in case.

Trump has hinted that there are two or three who would potentially make strong candidates (or VP's?).

Did you ever wonder who all of those Democrats a screaming at, as they look up to the sky?

Some countries do have more than two viable political parties.

In our system in the U.S., it's been really hard for any third-party candidate to compete against the two established leading parties. Some v**ers don't like either the Republican nominee nor the Democrat nominee. They'd rather that some third- or fourth- ... -party candidate win the presidency. But they think: That third- or fourth-party candidate cannot win enough v**es. So (in a self-fulfilling prophecy), they hold their noses and v**e for the lesser of two evils.

There are systems of v****g in which the v**er can mark first choice, second choice, third choice, and so on. When all the v**ers' "first choice" v**es are tallied, if no candidate gets enough v**es to win, then there is an algorithm for counting _those_ v**ers' second choices. And so on. This system is used in some places. I call it "ranked choice, instant runoff" v****g. It breaks the strangle-hold of the two-party system, and allows people to elect third-party candidates without having to worry about "wasting" their v**es on a candidate unlikely to get enough other people's v**es. It allows the v**ers to v**e for whom they _really_ want to win, without wasting their v**es.

There are various v****g systems. I was reading about them, and read that _all_ v****g systems (including the one we currently use in the U.S.) can have problems. In my opinion, the ranked choice, instant runoff system would be a lot better than the system we have now. Another system that might be even better is like how judges v**e in a sports contest (as in gymnastics) where each v**er gives each candidate a score, and then, when all the b****ts are counted, or compiled, the candidate who gets the highest score total would become president.
