Are Postal workers over paid?

Do they collect their pay from the Government?

If so, what is fair pay for a person who just puts a letter in a box, and a box on a porch?

The first question is really the one I want answered.

Hey Arch. Fair pay? It’s a job I don’t want to do. So I pay the postage asked without complaint. I’m also fine with wh**ever the people of the post office get paid. I’m sure if government wasn’t involved the post office would be more efficient.

How much do they make?

In Lapine it's all rural, it goes out to bid and they use their own vehicles.

I've heard more than one complain about the wages.

The Postal Service receives no direct taxpayer funds. It relies on revenues from stamps and other service fees. Although C****-** has choked off the USPS revenue in recent months, factors that arose well before c****av***s have contributed to the unsustainability of the Postal Service’s financial situation for years.

The fundamental problem is that while the USPS generates enough revenue to cover its operating costs, its pension and retiree health care liabilities push its bottom line into the red. The USPS has operated at a loss since 2007. From 2008 to 2018, it reported $69 billion in losses. For the 2019 fiscal year, it lost $8.8 billion on $71.1 billion of operating revenue.

Not sure how rural pay works. They are different than city carriers who drive company vehicles. From what I've gleaned, maintenance on their vehicles is a big one.

This was because of a mandated Republican bill that forced the postal service to fund pensions…75 years into the future.
They are actually funding today for workers who have not been born yet.
Who have not been born yet.
No other entity is required to do such a thing.
It is only another Republican s**m to take over the postal workers pension fund.
Nothing else.
They are called republicans. Your people, I guess.

Man, I'm doing great! I finally made it through the quagmire of time, and effort, and now just work part time for them! 45-50 hours a week now!😁 Got all the whistles and bells that go with it too! Been a long road, but worth it!🙃
And don't doubt yourself! You can still deal with a pissed off pair of dogs who want to eat your butthole out while trying to accomplish your duties!😂
You never get too old for a good ole adrenaline rush!🤔 Its the come down that gets ya.😞
Just keep walking, and find another dog!😁

Absolutely!!
It was brought about because of a surplus.
The postal service announced it had plans to purchase a chit load of electric delivery vehicles. This action pissed off an unimaginable amount of people with contracts with the postal service.
So, the republicans got their pointy little heads together to draft a bill to fill the coffers of the pension fund so there will be plenty to steal when they take over the postal service.
They have operated on surpluses in spite
Of the Republican strategy to make it look like it was losing money and would need a private investment company like Mitt Romney and Bain Capital ( vulture Capital)
Would be there to rescue the $3Trillion pension fund do that it would be kept out of the wrong hands.
Like the Postal Workers who were the ones working and paying into it.
I know it sounds unbelievable.
But it true right down to the last dirty little Republican detail.
Louis DeJoy. Is doing what he can to to destroy the postal service for his own shipping company interests.
After of course he fires half of the workers
And lays off the other half.
Splits out the rural deliveries to private contractors.
And …….Shazam !!!!!
Free money !

For every man who made a dollar
And didn’t work for it,
There’s a man who worked for it and wasn’t paid.
They’re called republicans.

I am positive you will not hear about any of this on the right wing propaganda stations.
Independent news sources are the t***h.
The pure un fooled around with t***h.
They are independent of any overseers bending the t***h for their own benefit.
