I agree with you. Whenever I feel like a burger I go to our local Wendy's.

When I was in Highschool, They opened a McDonald's in our town. They had a pretty good burger. Then several years later when I was in College, there was a McDonald's across the street from the campus. I went over there and ordered a hamburger. What I got was like a hard piece of meat between two pieces of cardboard. That was the last time I entered a McDonald's.

They are also no longer budget friendly. Might as well go to a nice sit-down restaurant for good food.

First time I ate at McDonalds was in Lawton, OK, 1968. Wife and I could get 2 cheeseburgers, 2 fries and 2 Cokes for less than $2.00. Days long past - however as a young Sergeant I think I cleared about $350/month and that included separate rations and quarters allowance. But I could knock down 300 meter targets all day with an M16 - a real assault rifle. 👍👍
