Show me one place where Jesus said, “let your government steal from you through taxes, get personally rich from being in charge, and then dictate who gets the charity money”.
Perhaps you think giving your money to government is “charity” and relieves you of any “heartfelt concern” to personally help the poor. But don’t think That is what Jesus was talking about.
