These are the standard generic warnings that accompany all firearms.

The warnings were not heeded.
The second warning may be generic to all firearms. The warning in my owners manual for my AR carbine has WARNING: IF THIS FIREARM IS CARELESSLY OR IMPROPERLY HANDLED, UNINTENTIONAL DISCHARGE COULD RESULT AND COULD CAUSE INJURY, DEATH AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.

Read this one again. It applies to the Colt SAA revolver.
WARNING: THIS REVOLVER HAS BEEN RECREATED FROM A HISTORIC DESIGN
AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO HANDLE WHEN LOADED.

I owned a Colt model 1873 SAA revolver and I owned a number of modern double action revolvers, such as an S&W Model 27, 357 magnum.

A firearm designed 150 years ago is a very different gun than one of modern design. I know this from experience with both.

So true. However, if you look at my response, I pointed out that "This (insert gun name here) is extremely dangerous to handle when loaded" because every firearm is generically dangerous to handle when loaded.

The warning you printed from the 1873 replica did not say "this firearm is dangerous because it can likely malfunction due to (poor craftsmanship, poor quality or worn parts, user ignorance of how firearms work," etc., or some such other euphemism.

I am of the opinion that this dead horse has been beaten enough already. I am satisfied to let the justice system work out the details.

The myth of "Guns don't k**l, people k**l people" has finally been proven wrong.

Alex Baldwin said he never pulled the trigger. The gun fired on it's own when he was drawing it from his holster.

Sometimes an automatic can fire if the safety is damaged or a worn holster presses the trigger... I can't find anyway reason for a vintage Colt 45 to fire without pulling the trigger or dropping it.

It has been reported that the gun was in his hand and pointing it at the camera when the weapon fired.

Can anyone explained how this weapon fired without Baldwin pulling the trigger. I have already ruled out it being modified with a "Hair Trigger" and then used as a prop weapon.

Listen to Mark Levin's conversation with Adam Baldwin (no relation to Alec) starting at the 1 hour:23 Minute mark and last about 20 minutes.

Adam Baldwin said that Alec Baldwin essentially confessed to involuntarily manslaughter as defined by New Mexico's laws.

I like this Mark Levin guy. Whilst trying to find the right audio, I stumbled across some of his comments on socialist PTB in the administration and I agree with him.

If it was a colt made in the late 1800s it is single action and it has to be cocked with your thumb before you can fire it.

Interesting info.

Good for you. The whole thing is dumb. Alec Baldwin is an actor. He doesn’t understand reality and now he’s caught up in it.
