NYC May Soon Let 800,000 Noncitizen Immigrants V**e In Local E******ns
The New York City Council is planning to pass a bill that would allow approximately 800,000 non-citizens of the United States to v**e in local e******ns.
The “Our City, Our V**e” legislation would allow migrants who hold green cards, those who maintain a legal work status in the United States, and DACA recipients to be granted special v***r r**********n forms to v**e in local e******ns.
“The legislation calls for training poll workers and community education campaigns to ensure every v**er receives the correct b****t,” The New York Times reported.
Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez told the Times that the bill is good for Democrats because they can further their talking points claiming that “v****g rights are being attacked.”
“It’s important for the Democratic Party to look at New York City and see that when v****g rights are being attacked, we are expanding v**er participation,” he said.
