The prosecution has had a good opportunity to put the whole issue of being afraid for your life as an excuse to k**l someone.
It comes down to the idea that if you put yourself in the position where harm is possible, you have no ground to stand on when you instigated a situation where you then became afraid for your life when the person you confronted reacts.
This issue came up over and over on stand your ground cases when an armed person would confront an unarmed person, they would be the aggressor, then when the unarmed person reacted to wh**ever the harassment was the armed person would suddenly be afraid they were going to be k**led and shoot an unarmed person.
