A Harsh Reality About Russian Immigrants Prior To The End Of The Cold War...

It was incredibly hard to get out of Russia, the country as a rule did not just "let" people go because they wanted to leave the oppression they were living under.

Russia had serious spy schools and a program that developed back stories and verifiable deep cover f**e lives that could survive CIA and FBI checks. These were people who dug in (moles) and simply lived amongst americans for decades, until they could get deeper level jobs.

It would be natural to wonder about Russian immigrants in the first place, especially those with higher educations or technical sk**ls...but then when a child born here to Russian immigrants seems to be supportive of Russian ideals involving authoritarian rhetoric and misinformation you have to wonder how a kid was raised in terms of being for or against government propaganda and authoritarian control. The right embodies these characteristics, and nobody would be more sensitive and aware of how this works than a Russian who escaped and was against dictatorship types of control.

Interesting. None of my kin were born in Russia. Yet, I vehemently oppose “government propaganda” and “authoritarian control”.
