“If someone broke in your house, busted your windows, beat up your friends, stole your laptop and crapped on your floor, and the police said they knew who did it, would you say ‘Never mind, they're not here right now.’?”

But that would be giving a decent answer assuming an honest question. And it's not, is it? The thing is, a c**p was attempted. The idea was that an attempt to take the Capitol would trigger attacks on government across the country, with many assuming the police and armed forces would join them in treason. But that didn't happen. Order was restored. The promised pardons didn't materialize, because Dear Leader has no compassion for minions who fail him. The other party came to power, and they have no interest in letting an attack on our democracy slide. So all the smug sons if b***hes that thought they were so clever and brave trying to overturn our e*******l process and attack our elected representatives and police are suddenly realizing they seriously broke the law and consequences are heading their way. The people who want all their political enemies behind bars are waking up to the fact that they may find themselves there. And that can't happen! They're the good guys! They're special! So now they're trying to deflect to the standard tactic of bullies called on their bullying: I was just kidding, it wasn't that serious, can't you take a joke, let's just move on.

No. That's not happening. Because you don't get away with this. It's too serious. And if there are no consequences, it will happen again. Republicans, up until now, have positioned themselves as the party of law and order, demanding harsh penalties for crimes when they wanted to punish “those other people”. Now, when they commit crimes, and no one believes them when they try to blame “those other people”, suddenly they don't want any investigation, suddenly wearing an ankle monitor or being shunned by their community or being deprived of organic food is cruel and unusual punishment.

No. We've dealt with this hypocritical crap long enough. Time for a serious reality check upside their head.

There was no "attempt to take the Capitol. There was a protest against legitimizing a suspect e******n.

And if these nitwits who stormed the Capital and k**led and injured Police officers get away with just a slap on the wrist, they will do it again. Ten years in jail sounds about right to me.

So you believe Brian Sicknick would have died from a stroke that day even if the Capital was not under attack ? Not likely.

100s of people have been arrested for charges relating to the demonstrations I Mpls.. I can not speak for other locations but expect they are pretty much the same..

And again I will say, very strongly. The nations Capitol is far more important and in fact vital then any main street store or business.. even the Precinct destroyed in Mpls, and now replaced, pales in comparison to a direct attack on our elected government and elected members..

He should not have been a police officer if stress on the job caused him to have a stroke.

The Trumpist i**********nists are trying to turn this into a modern version of the 'lost cause', as though something noble happened on J****** 6. They claim to be fighting for freedom, but their chants of 'lock her up' and desire to jail their opponents betray them. Just like 9-11, J****** 6 needs the phrase 'never forget' attached to it. These modern day s******nists should have the full weight of the legal system weigh down on them, but are getting slaps on the wrist. They claim to love their country but their actions were intended to destroy it. A pox on them.

Once again, lunatic Lefty thinking. Since he DID die from a stroke, that is proof that he was destined to die from a stroke, whether it was that day, the next day, or next month. Capital r**ts, or a Sunday picnic, didn't matter.
The Grim Reaper had his number.
