Updated on October 28We aim to update our data by midnight CDT daily. Occasionally, when an additional review is required, an update can be delayed by several hours. Note that certain data sources that we use (e.g., ICU hospitalizations) are only updated once per week.
RISK LEVEL
Our C***D risk level looks at three things: daily new cases (per 100K), infection rate, and positive test rate. Each is graded on a five-color scale and the highest risk color becomes the location’s overall risk level. The one exception is that if a location's daily new cases are green, then its overall risk level is green.
We developed our risk framework in partnership with the Harvard Global Health Institute and Harvard Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. As there is not a standardized framework for risk in the U.S., it may not match your state or county's risk level.

State of Florida Reaches Lowest C****-** Case Rate in the Nation
C****-** CASES IN FLORIDA DECREASED BY 90% SINCE AUGUST
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – As a result of Governor Ron DeSantis’ leadership and our data-driven approach free of mandates, the State of Florida has one of the lowest C****-** daily average case rates in the last 7 days per 100,000 residents in the United States.
“Without mandates or lockdowns, C****-** cases in Florida have decreased 90% since August,” said Governor Ron DeSantis.
“In addition to cases, hospitalizations have plummeted in our state. This has been accomplished by making monoclonal antibody treatments and v*****es widely available throughout our state while protecting Floridians from government overreach.”

In 2018, FPL completed its fully-enclosed Brickell Substation (actually located across the river from Brickell). It is the largest enclosed substation that the company has ever built.
The Brickell Substation is described as being state-of-the-art, with an eye-catching decorative façade that complements the sleek and modern buildings currently under construction nearby.
Now, the company is building an underground t***smission line to serve around 50,000 customers.
FPL says it will also build a new substation in the area, to be called Dolphin Substation.
The new underground line will run underground along the Metrorail corridor from FPL’s Coconut Grove Substation to a location near the Simpson Substation next to the Publix at Brickell Village.
Construction of the new underground t***smission line is expected to be completed in December 2023.
“Miami – and specifically our Downtown – continues to see incredible growth in terms of new residents, new businesses, and new development,” said Mayor Francis Suarez.
“We welcome FPL’s timely investment in fortifying our power supply and doing so in a way that has the least possible impact on our neighborhoods.”
