Donald Trump was living large before 2015, had a global business empire to run, dealt with the ups and downs of doing business and so on. Why did he make the life changing momentous decision to run for the most challenging and often thankless job on the planet? Why did he set aside his private life to do that?

He saw what was happening to our country, he saw the deeply embedded corruption in our government and the decay of civil society, he saw the true dangers of a corrupt justice system, and he felt compelled to do something about it. The idea of making America great again was more than just a clever campaign slogan.

His mission was to root out the corruption and get our country and our government headed back to our founding principles and the Rule of Law. He understood the critical need for all Americans to be treated fairly under the law and the protections of our constitution.

And, look what the left did to him, and to his wife and family, to his friends and associates, and to all of us who support him. They accused him of crimes he did not commit, they made up their own rules and pronounced him guilty without any application of law or constitutional protections. The left wanted him marched in manacles straight into prison without prosecution or due process.

And they are still at it. Tyrants and dictators are the ones who persecute political opponents, even after they are out of office.

So, you are committed to treating Alec Baldwin just as the left has treated president Trump and all of us. To hell with the Constitution and the Rule of Law, and without any principles or sense of justice, just pronounce Baldwin guilty and march him in manacles straight to prison without prosecution or due process.

Every thing president Trump attempted to do in returning our nation to its founding principles, all that he accomplished toward that end, all that he stood for and fought against means nothing to you.

Go figure.

Alec Baldwin is no Donald J. Trump!!! He is one of those who persecuted Trump! What he's getting now is a taste of his own medicine.

I just read where they removed the bullet from the director's shoulder - that suggests to me that there were either 2 shots fired or this whole thing is a h**x.

Baldwin did not "persecute" president Trump, he mocked him, made fun of him.

The scene in question was a rehearsal, the gun was not supposed be loaded with any kind of ammunition.
One shot was fired, the bullet went through Ms Hutchins and hit the director in the shoulder.

I am not defending Alec Baldwin, I am defending our Constitution and what should be the application of law. Baldwin is an American citizen, regardless of his personal politics, he has the same rights as you and I. Without that, we have anarchy, lawlessness and the march to tyranny.

You want to be part of that, g'head, I can't stop you, but the more Americans supposedly on the right side of the law and who truly support and defend our constitution, our American system of justice as it was intended, yet who throw all that out the window to persecute one man just because of his politics are participating in the destruction of our Constitutional Republic and the freedoms for which it stands.

With turncoats like you growing in number, as slim as our chances to do so are now, we have no chance at all to restore our republic to its founding principles.

I'm not a turncoat, as you suggest, but I am outraged that so many have turned their backs on God! What's happening in America is our own fault because we've been complacent to allow wickedness to prevail in America.

I read where he shot 4 times. But I don't remember the source. The important thing is that Alec The Kid shot and k**led someone and wounded another.
That's enough to land anyone in jail.

If Baldwin had intentionally shot his cinematographer, he'd be in jail. If it was an accident, which it almost certainly was, he wouldn't be in jail, which he isn't.

Public opinion has convicted Alec The Kid. Once that happens, wh**ever the skewed courts do is irrelevant. No one believes that OJ is innocent of murder. Alec The Kid is a media/lefty darling. He skewered Trump on TV. That's his get out of jail free card.
