Exactly, Steve! His only experience in public service is as the mayor of South Bend, which has a population of just over 101,000 people! That's it! And as soon as he gets promoted to a real position in government, he completely fails, choosing to spend a couple months off with his new twins while supply chain issues reach a critical point. And then, instead of coming up with a plan or seriously addressing the issue, he chooses to joke about how people shouldn't wait until the last minute to do their Christmas shopping.
But then as South Bend mayor, he only had to worry about keeping 66 buses moving, so we shouldn't expect any more of him, I guess. After showing all of us how completely inept and ill-prepared he is for his current job and the negative effect it is having on the entire country, I can't imagine anyone would think he could handle a higher position.
