For product verification, we would like to ask for the following information:

1. What is the serial number of your NETGEAR device? The serial number is usually printed on the bottom or the back panel of the device
2. When and where did you purchase the device?

Please attach a copy of your device’s proof of purchase on an email and send it to customer.service@netgear.com. This is to validate the product’s applicable warranty.

So in other words if you don't remember the date purchased or keep a proof of purchase tag, what ever that is owning one of their wireless router or any other of their products you shop lifted it from some place and don't deserve any support. This wasn't anywhere in the paperwork. I think yahoo is calling me a liar and a theft. My great grandfather shot a man in the face for calling him a liar.

I NOW use a credit card for all purchases. When the bill comes in, I staple the receipt to the credit card bill. Had I done this earlier, I would not have been in the same boat you are now in.

I always keep the recite but my wife bought the thing. I have a 1974 Chevy 4 wheel drive truck that is under full life time warranty from Auto Zone from me saving recites. Not only do they honor those recites but some are so old they show it around the store first before giving me the new part.
