When Gowdy did this work I spent the whole day with my wife at a medical appointment so I missed it. Anyway all his committee investigations up to this one he was allowed to talk only 5 minutes at a time. He is the chairman of this investigation and it seems he will say what he has to say before allowing old Lije Cummings to speak. Here he talked for over 11 minutes at one spurt in the opening. I love to hear him do his job and caught myself clapping more than once while listening to him.

Once, again, Duck Hillary here he comes.

I noticed, when Cummings did have his say. He announced he would be more interested to hear what reconmenditions were being made now, as apposed to what they were at the time Clinton was in office. Never once did he mention there job is to find out what went wrong at B******i. Through out this whole affair
so far, Cummings has tried to steer investigators away from any mention of responsibility on the part of Clinton.

Witch hunt, comes to mind, as the term used by Cummings on several occasions
when describing his fellow committee members actions. That phrase is perfectly in line with Clintons words of,
“What difference does it make now“.

You do remember, dont you, Clinton basically admitting she was the reason the security was not beefed up as had been requested. Whether by not checking email or flat out turning down the request, she has taken full responsibility. If there was a cause of action that could be taken, it would have been at that point. We have had eight hearings on this an the chips arent falling where the repubs want so we now have another one. I wish they would just admit that this circus is all about politics and lust for power. Admit that they are hoping to uncover some secret conspiracy to get a jump to fame and higher office. But I think it would have happened by now. Over fifty embassy people k**led while Bush was in office and only three hearings regarding those attacks (pleural). If anything these excessively posturing hearings are driving away the independants which the repubs need. Dumb. And unproductive but typical of this do nothing congress.

Trey Gowdy is one of few members of Congress. Here is one v**e for his next appointment as Dept. of Justice head, to replace the corrupt incompetent failure.

When Gowdy agreed to chair this Select Committee, he ended any hopes of ever attaining higher political office. He will no longer have credibility when it comes to addressing national issues, and he will be viewed as a right wing nut, seeking his 15 minutes of fame just as Darrel Issa has done. The majority of the public know that, if nothing has been discovered after seven or eight investigations, nothing crooked, evil, or intentionally conspired will be found. Gowdy had a lot of potential, but Boehner threw him under the bus, and he took the bait. Too sad to end so much potential, and he was an up and coming Republican, for nothing.

I have tried and tried to explain to you of the left lean that the previous investigations were done by Congressional committees under some very ridiculous rules they have written to operate under. For example, Trey Gowdy never was able to speak and ask questions for more than his allotted 5 minutes. Now the main difference is that he spoke for 11+ minutes in opening this one up. Also, in this investigation they can order witnesses to appear. In regular committee hearings they can't do that and of course Hillary hasn't appeared before any House committees. I can't wait to see her perform with Gowdy doing the questioning.

One of the major differences in this special investigation and the others would be that Lije Cummings won't be able to swing things his direction since his comments can't be as foolish as before on Issa's committee.

I am pretty sure that you, like most of our Democrats, don't understand the difference in this investigation and all the others. Of course you don't want to see it but Gowdy will have you people howling in pain before this one is over.

Have you heard that the Intelligence Committee that talked to the three men who wrote that book, "13 Hours in B******i" did so behind closed doors and failed to make anything they said public? Gowdy will ask them pertinent questions and they will answer about things that only they seem to know. Yep, lots of good stuff will come of this investigation and you Hillary-Barack lovers will be howling your heads off before it is over.

So old Jack doesn't have any idea about the difference between this Select Committee and how it works compared to those others you keep howling about. The others had to operate under fool rules that Congressional committees have to follow like limiting each member to only 5 minutes for questioning and not being able to force witnesses to answer without spreading all that crap they do. This committee can subpoena witnesses so I am sure will get to see Hillary performing under the questioning of either Gowdy or Chaffetz and Cummings won't be allowed to interrupt as he did on the Issa committee.

I don't think you have any idea what Gowdy can do on this one that he was never allowed to do in that other hearing. He is operating under entirely different rules and when I listened to him on that opening I saw what he wants to do, which is to get at the t***h. Now maybe those three men who wrote that book about that night in B******i really are liars but the story will change a pile when they get to talk to this group. I can hear Cummings trying to shut them up now and he won't be allowed to do his normal thing. You do remember why the Democrats decided to even appoint any members to the committee, don't you? In case you don't, they had to admit that they finally realized that they had to have some people there in hopes they could re-slant the testimony given.

Yep, jack there will be some good things happen and Hillary will get a chance to perform with Gowdy. You do know that she only took part in one of those hearings where she said her famous words about what difference did it make, those four were dead and there was no sense in trying to get to the bottom of the whole thing. Do you still believe that the internet movie caused that night to happen?

In the Issa committee hearings Cummings had much more influence because he was the leader of the minority, but this time they are operating under other than Congressional committee rules and he won't swing things as well as he did in the earlier hearing.

I am still trying to get our left leaners to understand the difference in this one and the others and the real power that Gowdy does have this time.

What makes you think he ended any hopes of ever attaining higher political office?
Did you ever stop and think, perhaps Gowdy does not want to seek higher office?

And what makes you think Boehner threw Gowdy under the bus. Gowdy asked for this commity chair. I believe Mr. Gowdy knows more of the direction he is going then you do.

You clame, " He will no longer have credibility when it comes to addressing national issues." So what in the world has Mr. Gowdy's being the chair of a select comity got to do with credibilty, not only for national issues, but any issues?

To all previous comments. I am not a democrat. The a cusation is absurd and reflects your lack of objectivity. As for the hearings, give Gowdy five or forty minutes, it makes no diff. He might as well be lecturing a wall. Lectures dont get answers. Thats the stupidity of his approach. He is trying to score political points with his accusational lectured. Again. Just stupid. A judge would have shut him down. But enjoy. Thats what he wants. Its his koolaid.

Do you think that this post holds any of your opinions? Do you think you answered any of the man's question with that simple minded post? I think you failed completely.
