I have been eating Old Fashioned Oats
every day, and sometimes at night for over 3 years now. Honestly
it is good for my diabetes, and heart ❤.
I'm borderline with the #2. Maybe i'll try that. Have it once in a while. Not in the mood for a lot of eggs lately....even though eggs I don't think are bad for you, carb wise. Five more lbs and I'll be down to fighting weight. My problem is I love to cook. Pasta bakes, homemade chili yesterday. Crusty french bread my downfall....whole loaf in 2 days. Anybody getting hungry???? I am.

Sounds good, but adds a few too many calories, I fear. My favorite breakfast for decades has been old fashioned oats and blueberries. I add whey protein to it because I am a vegetarian and have to get protein wherever I can.
As you point out, oats are good for your heart .... and good for you for making lifestyle choices to improve your health! Glad it's helping.

I suppose biscuits and gravy and a couple of slices of crispy bacon with peach preserves isn’t on the side of being a healthy choice? 😥 I think I’m still a little bit country! LOL!
I never was big on eggs or oatmeal or cream of wheat! If there was desert left from the day before, that was my breakfast. Now days it’s mostly just a couple of pieces of toast……..except when my husband can be talked into cooking my favorite……..B&G&B 🤗
I am old... I cook to enjoy the food. I don't care if it's healthy or not just if it's good. I'm quite blessed to have a metabolism that runs high so weigh isn't an issue. I'm pretty busy most of the time. I eat a good breakfast hashbrowns eggs bacon ect and dinner which is a good one too.I bake alot because my husband and grandkids are spoiled Britton. I'm not big on sweets.YOLO. I say.

Micro have you ever used smoked ham jocks for flavor. There really cheap and completely t***sform beans and ham.
Gotta add some peppers and onions in those beans and ham hocks for a little kick! 🥵😂
I’m now starving! Too late to cook beans today, I guess enchiladas will do tonight! LOL!
If I had to choose my last meal, I would truly choose my red beans, Mexican cornbread, and country fried potatoes w/onions. It just doesn’t get better than that. IMHO!

I have always loved to cook, especially now for my grown grandkids and now my great grandkids! They all have their favorites and they hit the door checking out the kitchen when they come to visit. I put my little ones on a stool and let them help me when I cook……… It’s a bit messy at times, but well worth the memories! I also love to bake….pumpkin bread is in the oven right now!

And for breakfast, get ready for lots of
QUAKER OATS.
That's funny, picked up some about a month ago, for the first time in years.

Cooked oats, or right out of the round box with peanut butter mixed in? I love oats and I love peanut butter, never tried them mixed together. 😁

https://thepatriotjournal.com/social-security-2022-benefits/?utm_source=actengage&utm_medium=emailBiden’s Tax Plan Is A “Raw New Deal” For Retirees. Here’s Why...
Joe Biden has a long history of screwing over retirees.
It started in 1983, when he v**ed to slap income taxes on 50% of Social Security income, income that had previously been tax-free.
In 1994, he v**ed to up the amount of Social Security benefits subject to taxation, to 85%.
In 2000, he turned his attention to estate taxes, v****g AGAINST the Estate Tax Elimination Act that would have phased out certain estate taxes by 2010.
Now, he wants to raise over $3.3 TRILLION in taxes...
And he’s got his eye on America’s nest eggs…
His plan?
He wants to expand estate taxes and “equalize” benefits across tax brackets.
Now that word “equalize”...
It’s not the same as “fair”...
“Equalize” means some will come out ahead… while others will end up with less.
