No wonder we can never unite with you. Facts allude you.

Nah, as Kellyann Conway said, “You’re into “alternative facts”.

Moldy, get real. That was then, this is now. Think about when Hawaii was made a state, their very different culture was celebrated and embraced. Think about "islamophobia". If we went on actions by Islam hundreds of years ago we would attack those people on sight and NEVER let them into our countries, or near our families. Comparing what happened hundreds of years ago to today is ingenuous in the extreme.
That being said, we westerners, when settling the US, would've been smart to incorporate with the indigenous peoples rather than "conquering" them. They knew how to live in harmony with nature.

Moldy, I probably agree with this…. Would need more information. I don’t condone organized religion. Back in the 80s when the Christian Right was on their soap box….. I totally disagreed . I know that the early Catholic Church removed all the Truly spiritual books from the Bible. Most churches are about money, not GOD! So I am not a fan.

We can agree on that.

1959 for Hawaii. They had already been homogenized. The plantation owners imported Chinese and Japanese to grow and harvest the crops. Similar to the Mexicans on the mainland. The big difference is the Mexicans could be sent home easily.

It was in the US before it made it to Spain. They called it the Spanish flu because Spain did not try to hide it when they found out about it.

Stop making up crap. It was on the military bases.
Origins of the Spanish Influenza p******c (1918–1920) and its relation to the First World War

The v***s which was responsible for the first benign wave of the Spanish Influenza in the spring of 1918, and which was to become extremely virulent by the end of the summer of 1918, was inextricably associated with the soldiers who fought during the First World War. The millions of young men who occupied the military camps and trenches were the substrate on which the influenza v***s developed and expanded. Many factors contributed to it, such as: the mixing on French soil of soldiers and workers from the five continents, the very poor quality of life of the soldiers, agglomeration, stress, fear, war gasses used for the first time in history in a massive and indiscriminate manner, life exposed to the elements, cold weather, humidity and contact with birds, pigs and other animals, both wild and domestic. Today, this combination of circumstances is not present and so it seems unlikely that new p******cs, such as those associated with the avian influenza or swine influenza, will emerge with the virulence which characterized the Spanish Influenza during the autumn of 1918.

The culture was so diluted by the time of statehood, that it was barely recognizable.
