Have people forgotten what a green light means during c***d? I have had to honk my horn more times in the last 6 months than the previous 50 years because of people just sitting there when the light turns green. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed an increase in people just not paying attention at the light?

Not only at lights but everywhere. Driving has become a horror show.

When I was in Osaka, Japan, I heard only one single car horn in three days, and that was from a city bus honking at a couple of cyclists. I asked someone if all Japanese cars had horns, and was told Japanese all know where they're supposed to be and using a car horn is extremely rude. What a contrast to Delhi, India!!

I see that a lot, the driver is usually alone, and looking down; I give them 2 seconds.

Yes, they are immediately on their phones when they stop for a red. I have to honk at least five or six times a day to get folks moving when the light turns green.

I once saw a car sitting on green light and than drive on red...I think maybe the driver was colorblind...Thank God it was late at night and there weren't many cars on the road...

Color blind shouldn't matter. He should have known red on top, green on bottom.

That's why I NEVER drive through a green light without looking both ways.

Same here, especially when I am on the motor bike! And never go instantly when the light turns green from red. Too many running the reds these days!!

I often wish I did not drive either. It is like running the gauntlet every time. Especially over here.
Been driving for 62 years and I have NEVER seen anything like it.
I often say that I'm sure there must be a law here that says "no matter the circumstances, you MUST be first in a line of traffic". "Failure to get to first place is a felony". Does not matter how you do it, just do it. This law is obediently obeyed.
Driving courtesy, including letting a car trying to get out of a parking place will instantly start a most irritating
blast of at least 10 horns from cars behind you. When stopped at a red light, just before it turns green will start the same horn blasting, and I mean EVERY time. No exceptions.
This is not an exaggeration, I've driven in many countries around the world and this one takes the blue ribbon for a nightmare.

I got t-boned into the drivers door that rolled my car two years ago. Girl ran a red light and hit me going 45. I was down for 6 months and my wife is still dealing with medical issues because of it. I am now always very cautious when pulling out on green or crossing any intersection.
