If and Faith...

Ohh, Emily, that was good.

He's a l*****t. All there ARE is rules. The left establishes them, HE explains them to us, and the democrats enforce us following them.

Thanks! 😊
My father said that to me a long time ago when I was a young girl, and it stayed with me throughout my life. A friend of mine here on OPP PM'd me and said that it's a quote from Thomas Aquinas....a brilliant philosopher! Learn something new every day....

Trolling? You don't think that people adopt the faith of their parents and their parents before them? Well, why? Explain!
I wasn't responding to your meme, I was responding to what you said, "And I love how conservatives think Christianity is the one true religion...I wonder who told them that???" There's nothing to explain. You're just being a trouble maker and trying to push people's buttons.

I'll take a stab at it.
Peter, my parents were not committed Christians. In their day, it was culturally expected for everyone to attend a church, but it had little bearing on their daily lives. I became a committed Christian with minimal exposure from them. Also, I know a lot about science and evolution. I was always fascinated by the subject, and spent inordinate amounts of time immersed in evolution theory. Yet I accepted God. Nor am I unusual. I have personally seen conversions to Christianity among athiests, Muslims, Jews, Hindi, and Buddists. There is also documented cases of the reverse happening.
The bottom line is that you are, again, defining as fact something that you just suppose based on your limited experience and secular-only point of view. Sure, a child only exposed to one faith will have a tendency to see that faith in the best light. But that is only one small factor in a complicated picture.
From MY personal experience, I could testify that the Earth is flat, that the ocean is no more than 20' deep, and that there is no such thing as a duck bill platypus or a c***d ** v***s. If I limited my observations to only what I have seen.
I can, and DO, testify that God is real and has made a difference in my life.
You should consider developing your observation and objectivity sk**ls a bit. There's a whole universe out there that is not the least bit concerned with what you believe, or what you reasoning dictates.

All lies fall short, must bend the knee
When facts begin to glow
Where like The Lord and like the sea
All streams of t***h must flow
Like dogs to vomit we return
Once more we play as fools
When from the past we fail to learn
When tongues are Satan’s tools
Yet tongues are not alone to blame
The mind can be a snare
Our hands perform their work of shame
That needs so oft repair
We must defend each evil lie
Must hide it night and day
But t***h prevails and cannot die
Wh**ever else we say
T***h needs no mask for prying eyes
From nought it takes to flight
Deceit, though seeks to wear disguise
And fears the searching light
The facts have need of no defence
No t***h must end it’s course
Need pay to life, no recompense
For God’s its only source
It’s always firm, always erect
Through tempest storm and gale
No syllable will God reject
When time has come to fail
Deceit will quake before the throne
Bear all the Judge on high
But God claims t***h as Jesus’ own
And gives what none can buy…Very good, Emily, img src="https://static.onepoli... (

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - in that order - are the only monotheistic religions on earth. All three of them are the spiritual progeny of Abraham. All the other religions are either polytheistic, pagan, or atheist.
Bhuddism has no god, Hinduism has 330 million of them.
Science has established our universe began to exist around 14 billion years ago. It is expanding out from a singular point in time and space. The most remote objects are speeding away much faster than those closer.
Something that begins to exist must have a cause.
Something that is caused to exist must have a purpose.
A purpose implies intelligence.
Intelligence implies a Creator.
There can be only one God.
How man perceives God is one thing.
How God perceives man is another.
Religions fashioned by men are men seeking God.
Christianity is the fruit of God seeking man.
2000 years ago God paid us a visit.
