There is a really dangerous flip side of those who believe in ridiculous lies...it's that they automatically reject absolute t***hs that are based on easily researched facts, things that often everyone who is paying attention knows are reality.

This is a really disturbing reality we are living in that people are angry and enraged over things that are purely lies and misinformation.

I'm not sure how we get back to some sense of rejecting misinformation...and the most appalling part of it is that some of it is so stupid that the fact that people aren't stopping to think and ask themselves about whether something even makes sense compounds the stupidity.

I know exactly what you mean. Every time I hear someone refer to J** 6th as an i**********n or calling the protesters there d******c t*******ts I find it very disturbing and appalling. Much of the J** 6th rhetoric is so stupid that the people that make those claims aren't stopping to think about whether it even makes sense or compounds their stupidity.

What we are witnessing is what we witnessed with the return of the Korean prisoners of war after they had been released. The brainwashing they had gone through was made evident by what triggered them. This same kind of brainwashing is now manifested in the triggered reactions of those who have been programmed in the universities. You need to stand back from a seemingly "educated" person of your acquaintance and ask a few questions about, "the common good," or, "world peace," and they will give you a list of virtue signaling" reactions. You'll see what I mean about "brainwashing." The "collectivist v***s" enters the mind when the person is made to feel guilty about their own achievements in being free and independent apart from others who aren't as well off. And, by the same "false guilt trip narrative" made to feel angry toward those who have had better circumstances than they. The lie that is injected in this narrative is the one about the need for "equal outcome." The next lie that rides in on this is, "Socialists (not "c*******t") are good and capitalists are bad." Again, the "open gate" and when we are most vulnerable to lies is when we think we are "good persons who need to be doing something for the poor and I am wasting my time making money taking care of myself." So we react defensively out of a false perception of ourselves painted by lying manipulators.
