Looks like I made mistake earlier when I thought 11 Republicans v**ed with Dems about Debt ceiling extention...What 11 Republicans joined Democrats for is to limit debate on Debt ceiling extention...All Republicans actually v**ed against Debt ceiling extention...50 to 48..

By v****g to end debate they were essentially v****g for debt ceiling extension because they knew Democrats had the v**es to pass it. The actual v**e against debt ceiling extension was just a show piece. Even some Republican Senators admitted they caved.

The debt ceiling question is to pay for stuff ALREADY agreed to by repubs, NOT for any new authorizations. It's just more kabuki theater presented by i***ts that don't give a crap about us.

When McConnel did was give Democrats a free pass to not use reconciliation to pass the extension. Reconciliation can only be used maybe twice in a fiscal year so now the democrats still have two uses of reconciliation available in 2022 fiscal year to pass other massive spending bills. Reconciliation originally was suppose to be used to reconcile the budget during the fiscal year but Obama, by using it to pass Obamacare, changed the original intent. McConnel and 10 other republicans, mostly in republican leadership position, claimed to have caved to democrat threats to suspend the filibuster. I suspect the reasons these professional politicians caved are even more nefarious than that, but, of course, we will never know. Either way, once again, some republicans have no will or spine to stand up to democrat dirty tricks.
