It is not what seems like a civil war with all these vying faction but just a high jump competition: all looking to win the height of the Ridiculous. It is pretty much all tied up right now.
Do you know what a straight man is? This understanding is crucial to what is happening today. Think of Abbot and Costello. Abbot's job was to provide the opening for the joke. That is absolutely correct, however, if "you have eyes to see", you would realize the "news" has taken up a new calling best described a kind of prostitution. They'll say anything if you pay them.
