Listening to Mike Gallagher this morning who was related his overall tax bill last year. After deductions and tax "breaks" he ended up paying 49% of what he made back to government.

Like it or not, the rich pay the lion's share of our tax burden. They also run the business we do business with and work for. Do we honestly think they won't pass on the higher taxes to us down under???

What is fair and how much is enough????? Maybe we should make government stop spending so much and for sure stop giving away that which we don't even have.

Absolutely! Government spending by borrowing is stupid and getting worse. Inflation bites everyone. You're right about business too.

Stupid statements:
Their fair share. WTF does that mean?
WE need something. OK, what?
I need some. How much is 'some'? 3? 20 million?
He should have done 'something". What? Jump out of airplane? Fart in the bathtub? Both are actions.

I'm sure others can be added.

** Like it or not, the rich pay the lion's share of our tax burden.**
This is the lie youz fools Keep carrying around for them. It’s a lie.
If you pay 34% is it a reasonable expectation they would pay a similar amount? They don’t. And they collect more than they pay in. This comes out of your pocket. 81 of the top 200 corporations paid ZERO Taxes.
This is not a small amount of Tax money Owed.

All the richest ones paying zero ...is not fair.!
We don’t need any billionaires on our little bingo cards, it’s just too tedious. When they hit $1 Billion they get a coin that recognizes their achievement. A $1 billion coin. This would keep the real money in circulation. They can stack up their coins, just not cash. These billionaires don’t even pay taxes, for that matter.
And today their garages are filled to the rafters with greenbacks. You can call them patriots, but I won’t.
They are a hindrance.
Not buying like Illinois.

I think it was Ronald Reagan who wisely said, "A government that is big enough to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take away everything you have".
Believe me when I say: They, the Democrats/Socialists, will exercise the full extent of that power.

Over 100,000 dollars a year one should be paying 60 percent of income, and the same for capital gains. The 1 percent get most of their income in capital gains, and they should betaxed as shuch. Remember Jef Bezos didn't pay any income tax last year. This is wrong

Go ahead by all means get out there and start defending them, you don’t know any better so it’s ok.

He wasn’t talking about you, he was talking about the rich and corporates. But so many fools fell fell it, here we are today trying to undo Reagan’s whole mess.
Government is Not a bad entity. Ask the rich if you don’t believe me. They constantly collect money from the government they’ve convinced you to h**e. They don’t want the government having more Power than them, is the problem.
As long as we maintain a Carmella Soprano government, we’re fine.

A person who paid 49% of their income in taxes does not fall into the category of paying 0%. I am not defending the 0%'ers.

I agree. They spend because it's not their money. They force us into Obam.y care while keeping their private insurers, they reduce out police while living behind security gates with security force. They have made themselves the public elite as opposed to public servants.

Does your friend do his own taxes? Seem he could use some help...

darn computer will not copy it right..

37% is the top bracket and that is after the many loop holes open to the rich , but the few for the average American have been removed.. for ever..

If you follow the link, you will see that the lower tax brackets have change just bit.. the end result is that in 21, the middle working class has started to pay for the huge tax gift to trump and his fellow Rich Bas*****....

It shifts a bit more each year to 2025, at which time none of the temporary deductions will exist for you.. all will be gone and the majority of Americans will pay a high rate with no loopholes, while the rich will remain with all the loopholes a mind could construct..

some leader you guy chose..

He lived in NYC that year. It's why he moved to Florida. That should splain it. But still, how much is too much?? And if some rich folk can pay 0%, then the laws need to be changed, not the rates.

I will say that if I were ever asked that question, I would say about 15%.. but of course my opinion counts for nothing..

maybe 10%, to match the tithing idea..

I have heard a lot about New York and taxes, but really know very little.. I struggle with Minnesota taxes and have no interest in branching out..
