Mean Pugnacious Freedom Loving People Typically T***sfer Their Freedom To Their Aggressive Dogs

We've got relatives that don't seem to gravitate to anything else besides aggressive dogs, a niece generally has two or three pit bulls, and always has her trials and tribulations with their aggressive bad behaviors, she has had to put at least two down because of excessively aggressive behavior, and has incurred several expensive veterinary bills...so the family gets to hear her sob stories about how sweet this dog is (except they are not) and how unfair it is that the county is putting her dog down. She's always trying to refuse to pay vet bills when her dogs attacked other dogs that were on leash when hers were not. The other dogs incite hers by barking or growling, according to her, it's their fault. She cannot get the being able to control your dog thing.

We have asked her why she keeps taking a dog out that doesn't behave well with other dogs...because she should be free to take her dogs out in public, she has every right, blah blah blah.

We ask why she doesn't use a muzzle if a dog can't be trusted...more blathering about freedoms and rights and whatnot, she should be allowed to let the dog run free, everyone else does.

There is no getting through to her that the other dogs at a park are well behaved and get along well with other dogs or these responsible people would not let their dogs off leash.

Nothing gets through to the person who brings an aggressive dog to a gathering of well behaved dogs and thinks they have the right to turn their dogs loose, and it's not their problem if people have dogs that can't defend themselves.

We have an Airedale (Ares) that's weighs about 65lbs, and a lab german shorthair mix that's about 85 lbs. The shorthair mix is extremely athletic and tall, but the Airedale is in another league as far as what they do to another dog in a fight, Ares is the boss. Yet I have never seen him get aggressive with another dog, if a dog is acting froggy he might give a warning growl that it isn't going to fly, and that has been enough.

We have 100% trust in the Airedale's behavior around other dogs, but the other one tends to get aggressive with bigger dogs and we can't trust him off leash, so we don't take him around other dogs...none of this "we have a right to take him out because we feel like it" crap.

Dog problems come from dog owners. I know a lot of pit bulls who mind very well and play nice with others. It's just like problem kids come from problem parents. I sincerely wish you luck with yours. Hope it isn't too late. For instance, Dalmations are so inbred they're almost r****ded. Thanks, to 101 Dalmation's from Walt Disney.

Why do you always make up stories?

And dog parks are not a good place to take any dog.

A troll calling someone else a troll is always humorous.

You're so right, Rose! Great tip for dog owners!

The first thing my vet asks when I bring in our dog in is if she has been to a dog park. One of the worst things a dog can get is Parvo, a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease. Our vet told us it's better to take our dog for walks along the lakes or just down the road rather than a dog park. People like dog parks because they can take the leash off and let the dogs run loose, but IMO, it's not worth the risk.

Sometimes it's the human that should be muzzled. 😉
