Summary

What was the 2020-2021 flu season like?

Flu activity was unusually low throughout the 2020-2021 flu season both in the United States and globally, despite high levels of testing. During September 28, 2020–May 22, 2021 in the United States, 1,675 (0.2%) of 818,939 respiratory specimens tested by U.S. clinical laboratories were positive for an influenza v***s. The low level of flu activity during this past season contributed to dramatically fewer flu illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths compared with previous flu seasons. For comparison, during the last three seasons before the p******c, the proportion of respiratory specimens testing positive for influenza peaked between 26.2% and 30.3%. In terms of hospitalizations, the cumulative rate of laboratory-confirmed influenza-associated hospitalizations in the 2020-2021 season was the lowest recorded since this type of data collection began in 2005. For pediatric deaths, CDC received one report of a pediatric flu death in a child during the 2020–2021 flu season. Since flu deaths in children became nationally notifiable in 2004, reported flu deaths in children had previously ranged from a low of 37 (during 2011-2012) to a high of 199 (during 2019-2020).

This goes into so, so much more and you can compare this last year with previous years and make your own inferences.

In December the CDC has announced a new C***d test that can tell the difference between C***d, the common cold and the flu.

When they DO (they haven't yet) the flu will make a magic comeback and C***d numbers, no doubt, will go down equally magically.

They will attribute that to the effectiveness of their v**x, I'm sure.

Ya know, here in my county, it seems that the number of deaths remains about the same. A few more, but the population has increased slightly. Isn't it convenient that the more people die of C***d, the less they die of the things that used to k**l them? Isn't it a coinky-dink that people were thoughtful enough to quit dying of other causes so we could maintain an equilibrium? As for your post, it's the same here. People are so anxious to get on board the C***d train they've just stopped catching the plain old flu. That's just SO 2019.

Just for the heck of it, I compared my county to the three counties surrounding it. Same story. Just loads of coincidences this fine morning.

It's been documented that the test for c***d couldn't distinguish between the flu and c***d

The CDC is alerting labs to use tests that can differentiate between C***D and Influenza v***ses.

A number of folks in my county came down with "C***d". One death in the whole county so far. That gentleman had emphysema.

The hospital is practically empty. Doctor offices too.

From the hype you'd think dead bodies were piled in the streets, unburied for fear of C***d, with packs of wild dogs feeding on them.
