Sacramento Basically Gets 100% Mask Compliance...El Dorado Next Door Not

I have contractor friends that put on the tough guy act refusing to wear masks in this county...but they have masks in their trucks for when they are buying building supplies in Sacramento where they simply wear their masks because they will not be allowed in stores if they don't. This tells us that this freedom crapola is just an act, masks and v*****es are just the excuse to act out.

The difference is law enforcement. Refusing to wear a mask and creating a scene in Sacramento will get you arrested or fined...police will escort you to the door. your tantrum is over or it results in further actions. Rational and critical thinking about negative consequences to those actions results in a universal compliance. It is well understood that examples were made, violent outbursts resulted in arrests and prosecution, people lose their jobs over these kinds of petty and silly outbursts.

Take the county next door, law enforcement is the sheriff, who announced early on that he would not enforce mask mandates. Because people basically understand that they can refuse and create disturbances and the police will not respond to calls, they are enabled to act out, threaten store clerks, and basically terrorize those who choose to require mask and social distancing recommendations.

I asked a manager why they were not enforcing mask mandates, and they said guys were flipping out and threatening to go home and get a gun and come back and shoot his employees. In Sacramento that unhinged crap would result in that person being located, arrested, and prosecuted. These sheriffs should be removed from office for failing to uphold laws...they do not get to decide what laws they choose to enforce or not.

And this does show perfectly how laws and civil order can be affected by incorrect applications of adhering to the rule of law.

Wouldn't it be nice if Sacramento went after shoplifters with such zeal? Perhaps the l**ting and shoplifting/stealing would stop.

Just go to the next county for all of your supplies if possible. Soon the merchants in Sacramento will see the problem in their cash registers and fight the fight for you.
