My lady friend and I woke up and eventually turned on the TV to see the first tower burning. We spent most of the day watching as the event played out. Really tragic.

How did you spend that day?

I was at work... We all glued to TV...Not a dry eye in a room!

Initially, I was at work where I witness the first tower burning before second plane hit. I felt sick and ran out to the phone (not everybody carried cell phones back then), where I attempted to reach my brother who worked in immigration for Justice Dept. I couldn't reach him and I remember feeling like I couldn't collect my thoughts. My ex suggested I call another family member so I did. My sister had just got off the phone with him, he was on his way back out into the field. My legs felt like jello, I didn't know why I was crying and my boss said "you need to go home, give thanks with your family". I was driven home where I spent the day praying prayers of sorrow and of gratitude as I watched the drama unfold. I still can go back in my minds eye to where I was standing and what I was seeing with the first tower!

I was watching the news when they broke in with the news that the WTC has been hit. I was shocked and mesmerized by what I was seeing. Then the second building exploded. 'What the hell is going on' I thought to myself. My 'investigation' started before building 7 fell. How could jet fuel melt steel beams, I wondered. ???
