When I was younger, there was never the kind of terrible hatred with those we differ with. My problem in trying to talk or post responses is I just can't believe a word they are saying. I know that their beliefs are sincerely held, but the problem is that they are wrong. They refuse to consider other sources of information, so they are imprisoned by Fox, and the many outrageous media to the right of Fox. They have no real belief in science, many have not taken a single course in US history since high school, and many are racially prejudiced.
The most obvious example is their loyalty to former President Trump. He is clearly unfit to be President. According to fact checkers from The NY Times, Washington Post, and CNN, Trump has either lied, or made misleading statements to the American people over thirty thousand times. He campaigned on " draining the swamp ", yet so many of his cronies, and staff have been found guilty of crimes, and pardoned. There are so many crimes, and attacking the countries democratic institutions, constitution, and vital interests, that I don't believe that they are dwelling in reality. They keep on attacking Biden, who as far as I can see is a moderate, politician that is fighting c***d19, and bringing the nation's economy around. He is't perfect, but he is being blamed for losing Afganistan, stealing the p**********l e******n, and so many other things that just untrue.

My problem with you and those like you is nicely summed up in your last sentence. You declare things to be true and untrue but refuse reviews of the facts. Your fear of being found to be wrong precludes your willingness to allow investigation for confirmation. As convinced as you might be that there is no Santa Clause, you completely ignore the presents under the tree. It is hard to "communicate" with people who refuse to stop believing their lying eyes, and instead just accept the l*****t narrative about how wonderful the disastrous policy blunders Biden/Harris continue to make are. As you pointed out we used to be energy independent---Biden ended that, (with a stroke of a pen,) he didn't need no stinking legislation. The economy WAS booming, now consumer prices have increased by 5.4%, and the ongoing inflation will make that number rise. Tens of thousands of illegal are flooding across our open Southern border, many carrying C***d, and many are terrorists, who have indeed been emboldened by Biden's shameful, bloody exit debacle from Afghanistan. Yeah it does seem to be hard for l*****ts to understand why conservatives aren't going to smile sweetly and swallow the load of garbage that Biden/Harris, or the Democrat/C*******t Party are in ANY way good for the country. I guess if you admire Venezuela, and it's rapid descent into a socialist nightmare, it must be disappointing that you can't get conservatives to buy into the narrative that Venezuela, (the Democrat/C*******t Party is pushing the same policies for the U.S.,) is a success story.
