About 40 activists arrived outside Pelosi’s San Francisco home on Saturday, just hours before the moratorium’s last extension expired leaving more than 10 million Americans facing the prospect of being told to leave their homes.

“Dear Speaker Pelosi, you are hereby given immediate notice that millions of Americans will face eviction tonight when the eviction moratorium expires,” the note began.

“We call upon you to immediately call Congress to session to v**e to extend the eviction moratorium and keep people in their homes. We’re in the midst of the second-worst C***D surge to date and this is not the time to allow evictions to begin,” it continued.

I am an old man and I pay rent for the 1BR apartment that I live in and I realize that I am very fortunate to be able to do so but I also realize that the property owners need the income from the renters to make the mortgage payments on the property. The property owners are not the bad guys here. So who are the BAD GUYS.....Democrat politicians are the BAD GUYS.

My boyfriend and I both had incomes cut in half last year and at one point I went on EDD for 2 1/2 months. Butt paid our rent for exactly same reason. It's not ok that a landlord loses their home "rental" because someone doesn't pay rent. Besides, with all the Gov assistance they should have been able to pay, that's what it was for and a lot of people were making more then when they were working. Should have paid rent or get out>
