The united states did not give even a single rifle to the Taliban.. All the equipment.. ALL of it was given to the recognized government of Afghan. you remember them, the ones trump refused allow in the talks with the taliban..
Afghan military hardly bothered to even pretend to fight, other then some special forces, they dropped equipment and ran for a safe place..

do you nimrod recall the past foolishness. the Syrian debacle.. that led to equipment, bases to the Russians of all groups. the freedom for the imprisoned ISIS members by the 1000s.. not to even mention the betrayal of our allies the Kurds, who did the heavy ground pounding. Which alone must of saved the lives of countless American troops..

While the Afghan withdrawal is among the most maddening events in years.. and it was predicted for years, and trump negating was more like a green light for them to wait a bit and drive right in.

The failure to act on what should have been known facts by whoever drew up the plans is far and away one of the most stupid deed in a long time..

But far from the worst of our stupid deeds in the ME..

So let us all stick to the facts, they are maddening enough for any American.. not that we got out after 20 useless years, but that we did it so poorly..

the equipment in question was not in American but rather the hands of the Afghan military.. it was not sitting on parade ground of any American base.. bad as it is, was the fault of the long held idea of arming the enemy of our enemy and that never seem to turn out well for anyone.. Us, the English, the French.. and other have all done it and watched the weapons land in the hand of the enemy or worst the "friend" join the enemy in attaching the major power..
