Report: China in pr********n to formally recognize legitimacy of Taliban-run government

As if the surrender of Afghanistan to the Taliban wasn’t embarrassing enough for the Biden administration, there might be another aspect of this debacle that proves to be even more humiliating.

C*******t China appears to be preparing to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan, the Washington Examiner reports. So much for Biden’s threat of the Taliban being isolated from the international community.

The news comes as the Taliban entered and captured the nation’s capital city of Kabul on Sunday, capping off an offensive that the group started barely two weeks ago to retake the country via military force.
What’s happening?

On Thursday, U.S. News and World Report indicated it had learned that “China is prepared to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate ruler of Afghanistan if it succeeds in toppling the Western-backed government in Kabul.”

This news comes in the wake of Chinese officials holding several high-level meetings with Taliban leaders in July.

One of those meetings, between Wang Yi, China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ghani Baradar, the Taliban’s commander, took place in late July, just a few weeks before Taliban forces successfully rampaged through the war-torn country.

At the time, Yi called the Taliban “a pivotal military and political force in Afghanistan” that “is expected to play an important role in the process of peace, reconciliation, and reconstruction in Afghanistan.” Baradar responded in kind.
Biden humiliated again

Both China and the Biden administration have been pressuring the Taliban to hold negotiations with the Afghanistan government in order to reach a power-sharing agreement. The Taliban, though, as evidenced by its recent offensive, decided to take another route.

Now, neither the Biden administration nor China appears ready to hold the Taliban accountable. In fact, China is seemingly preparing to reward the Taliban.

U.S. News and World Report writes: “New Chinese military and intelligence assessments of the realities on the ground in Afghanistan have prompted leaders in the Chinese C*******t Party to prepare to formalize their relationship with the insurgent network, according to multiple U.S. and foreign intelligence sources familiar with the Chinese assessments.”

If true, this development further complicates matters for the Biden administration, which already struggles to deal with China the way former President Donald Trump did, which for all intents and purposes, seemed to work quite well.

Biden, who took to the airwaves on Monday to blame everyone and everything besides himself for the rapid and shocking fall of Afghanistan, will now have to keep a close eye on China’s next moves, as one can assume that they’re already making big plans for their new relationship with Taliban leadership.

All China has to do is wave wads of money in the faces of the Taliban, and it's a marriage made in heaven.

If the Afghan population is going to put up with living in the 8th century, that’s their problem now.
