On July 14 2021, a graphic appeared on Imgur claiming that MyPillow chief executive officer Mike Lindell says that former United States President Donald Trump will be “reinstated” as president despite resoundingly losing to Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden in November 2020. Further, his “reinstatement” is planned for August 13, 2021 — a date the meme claims will coincide with “National Kool-Aid Day”:

Text on the meme read:

I don't drink Kool Aid. It doesn't provide proper hydration, and could lead to other health problems due to it's sugar content.

And, just for squats and giggles, we bought his products, and they didn't really work for us, so we went elsewhere. I think I have a "Doctors Choice" pillow, and Mrs. Bunker has the Purple Pillow that came with our Purple mattress.
However, the dogs have the "My Pillow" dog beds, and seem to love them. But then, one is sound asleep on the hard floor beside me, and the other is outside in the dirt spot laying on a rock in the sun.
I reckon we can't go on their opinions......

Maybe he's a little off the rails, but so are you, and me. Everyone is in their own special way now days. Some more than others depending on their politics, it seems.

Do you remember when you could like someone because of who they are, and politics weren't a factor? Just kind of a difference of opinion?

Yes, I do, Arch. You're a good man. I've never had reason to believe politics were a factor between us. Any differences have been accepted and never lead to personal attacks and name-calling. Not so with a number of others. Oh, FYI only, I prefer the firmer, ol' goose-feather down pillows.

Well, Sasquatch, I have to agree. There's no need to call a friend a bottomless food pit an overachiever when he's just hungry all the time! That's just rude!

On a serious note, I just can't get the divide here. I see people of all stripes every day, and we're all friendly.
Maybe because we don't talk politics, and we're just people living our lives?

In my opinion: There are assholes everywhere. Be they right wing, left wing, or no wings. They are out there. Add in political stuff, and everybody's a dick.
It's a shame we've come to this point.

I agree with all you write here, Arch. As you know, I've met a lot of OPPers in my travels across the eastern and western halves of our nation. However, though most of 'em...by OPP reputations, were conservatives, I've met 'em from all ideological viewpoints, and each of 'em are proud American patriots.

I think the problem lies with the anonymity of contributors. There are a lot of keyboard warriors out there, and they have a tendency to be extremely bold & courageous in front of their computer's screen. Having said that, I will close here by posting the link to an early post of mine from 2014. It speaks to the nature of the OPP forum.

I was gonna buy a couple 'My Pillows' until I read the reviews on 'em. Most of the reviews are very unfavorable. I hope your dog sleeps good on his.

However, I do agree with Mike Lindell on most of what he says about the 2020 e******n.
