I remember being excited when we got a TV. Then I found out we could only pick up that one crappy station in Santa Fe. Sometimes Alburquerque. I could never figure out why we got incredible radio reception and couldn't get crap on the TV.

If I remember right, I think we got a tv around 1951 or 1952. We were the first ones to get a tv in our neighborhood. Whenever things like The Ed Sullivan Show or some other things came on tv, all the neighbors would come over to watch it. Then after a couple years the city wanted to tax us on out tv antenna, so we sold the place and moved out to the country on a farm.
