Recently I got into it with a couple on your side on that very subject. They suggested that perhaps my need for brevity is because I do not express myself very well. Perhaps.

I find no fault with your ability to express yourself. I hear the opposite with my antagonists, as they believe me to be too wordy and/or of using too many big words. One claims I use 33-letter words. I challenged him to come up with one instance of my using a word with 1/2 or even 1/3 that many. He won't because he can't.Quite frankly, I don't believe I know any 33-letter words.

It is not the long words that I criticize some for. It is the long paragraphs. If you notice I try to keep my paragraphs short. Sometimes that results in too many paragraphs if I really get rolling. If you try to make too many points in one post, the reader will just roll their eyes and not read it.

I prefer many short back and forths to a couple of long posts. It mirrors a real conversation as opposed to two people making speeches to one another.

Ideologically I do not expect to convince too many, but I keep trying to set some rules of engagement so that this isn't just a pissing contest.

I've found you set a reasonable standard. Unfortunately, others' exchanges still turn into pissing contests.

Would it not be great if all our candidates for leadership jobs have to pass medical and acuity tests before being allowed to run for such important offices?

It's certainly reasonable to think so. Personally, I think there should be a cut-off age to run for president the first time...say 67 or so. But, that would be hard to do.

Tuck, I trust you're talking about retirement and not 1st time entry onto the Supreme Court. I actually prefer older, experienced SCOTUS members, yet would like retirement for them by 80.

Funny you keep going back to President Trump. He is history. He is not the President.

But, it does seem problematic that you are not worried about biden (our current President)and his pretty obvious slide into dementia.
