In my dimly-remembered youth I caught the chili-bug, and went to three-alarm hot, probably in the 30 to 100,000 Scoville range. That was for hard-asses (pun intended) and drinkers. As kids arrived, and family cook-outs became the norm, I calmed it down for the little ones and ladies. Always had a pah of sauteed hot-stuff for the bold-at-heart. I've developed a very nice recipe if you'd like to try...

Absolutely. My ma thinks Stagg chili Laredo is as good as it gets.
