'Why Should Anyone Watch' Obama's Speech?

Tonight, Barack Obama will address the nation regarding ISIL. In his speech, he'll explain why we won't "put boots on the ground" (even though he already has) and why some half-hearted bombing should be just right. He'll also explain why he doesn't need Congress but might ask them anyway.

The president knows how damaging it was to admit "we don't have a strategy yet," and the White House has been scrambling to recover from his candid admission. Given this information, CBS correspondent Major Garrett wants to know, “Why should anyone watch?” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest fumbled for an answer, saying Obama will "lay out" the strategy to "degrade and destroy" ISIL.

Well, Obama also said last week he wanted ISIL to be reduced to a "manageable problem." Garrett pointed out, “The audience wants to know how we’re going to win.” Unfortunately, "win" is not a word Obama cares about when it comes to wars and foreign policy.

I won't be watching or listening; have done both for over 6 years now and sadly, he's all talk but very little action. Everything he says and does and his admin is calculated and political only. Just praying that ISIS will be taken out.

There's not much point to watching in any case. Since the weekend, we've been inundated with what the talking heads think he'll say. Right after the speech, the same talking heads will tell us what they think he said, then spend forever pointing out what he didn't say, should have said, might have said, could have said ......

The important thing to remember is that, tonight, Obama will be simply reading a teleprompter loaded with words carefully chosen by professional speech writers employed by George Soros.

Tonight, he's the lapdog of his handlers, performing for the pleasure of the useful i***ts. The other day, Obama told the t***h, when he commented that "he had no policy on ISIL."

Yeah, its the war of the public relations gurus. I wonder how many politicians actually understand what they're told to say? Not many I bet, or they wouldn't be able to say such stupid things with a straight face.

I heard the President say that big countries shouldn't invade little countries, which is exactly what we did in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was talking about Russia, but still, this "don't do as we do, do as we say" talk just makes us look foolish.

ANYTHING Pres Obama SAYS on a Wednesday night - with or without his Teleprompter - is MEANINGLESS TO ME... What Pres Obama DOES on a Saturday morning via "AN EXECUTIVE ORDER" is MEANINGFUL TO ME...

Where do you folks think obama will be tomorrow? I can't decide between his private bunker or hiding on the golf course.

I will not watch our president's speech tonight. It's been many decades since I have watched a p**********l speech, whether Democrat or Republican. Why?

1. The remarks are mostly written by other people.

2. They are usually self serving. The writers for ALL presidents cherry pick information to achieve the slant they desire.

3. These speeches are usually boring.

4. It's far easier to watch the post-game clips and avoid the actual "dog and pony" show.
