They should be docked their pay for the time they were gone & collectively dined for all costs of having to stay in session longer at a minimum.
Since professional politician has become a "job", all politicians should have to conform to the rules employees outside government do.
They all should be fired for dereliction of duty, grand theft, all the things real world employees would face & barred from any office. Any of them holding state licenses, lawyers, doctors, CPAs should lose them.
It would be interesting to see how many of these escaped "s***es" depend on their government salaries & what they can steal for their total livelihood.
We have to blame ourselves for letting this crap happen but we can & should stop it. No city, county, state, country needs full time elected officials that only pass laws.

I think it may be time for for everyone to take a civics course on s***ery, where students are ens***ed for a month in a historically accurate setting.........................those that survive to graduate won't be so flippant anymore.

Deport them to Venezuela, Cuba. Historically s***es at least got fed. People in these two countries, especially Venezuela don't have a dependable meal schedule.
