I will just ask this. How many here on OPP have made life decisions based on the news they may have heard? Actually what he said is pretty succinct, the post is a load of crap. Who in their right mind puts their faith in crackpot you tube videos over CDC guidelines every peer reviewed medical journal or The New York Times for that matter?

Too many people give the Center for Disease Control (CDC) too much credit. They are not a government agency - they are a private company. It is a (501)(c)(3) company that does not pay federal taxes and accepts donations. That means that it is a "charitable" organization. People think the CDC is "law" because they think it is a government agency. And neither the CDC nor government has tried to correct that false identity. To be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), an organization must not be serving any private interests, including the interests of the creator, the creator's family, shareholders of the organization, other designated individuals, or other persons controlled by private interests. None of the net earnings of the organization can be used to benefit any private shareholder or individual; all earnings must be used solely for the advancement of its charitable cause.... Once an organization is categorized as a 501(c)(3), the designation remains as long as the organization exists... Organizations that meet the 501(c)(3) tax category requirements can be classified into two categories: public charities and private foundations. The main distinction between these two categories is how they get their financial support. The CDC really should be called The Center for Disease Control Foundation. It is housed in the Department of Health and Human Services - a government agency - but it is not part of the DHHS. And who is it that "donates" to the CDC in a BIG way? Big Pharma!

And the CDC lies... for instance, it blatantly has claimed that some if its anti-v***l drugs, such as oseltamivir, a flu v*****e, "save lives". In February, The BMJ (British Medical Journal) reported that the CDC was claiming antiv***ls “save lives” even while the Food and Drug Administration was warning Roche that it could not make that claim in its marketing because oseltamivir “has not been proven to have a positive impact on the potential consequences (such as hospitalizations, mortality, or economic impact) of seasonal, avian, or p******c influenza.” In other words, there was no evidence the drug worked, but CDC Director Thomas Frieden was publicly claiming otherwise.
