I've long wondered about the Office of the Surgeon General as well. Where'd that institution go ? Six thousand qualified medical personal under that f**g, and we get f***i. Also, the F.B.I. - a paper tiger...

The FBI stands for Full Blown i**********nists. Everything they are involved with is anti-American and anti-Constitutional. All of our alphabet government agencies should be abolished and started over from scratch. Citizens watchdog groups should monitor these agencies and report to the people of what they are accomplishing for the American people.

The current surgeon general is Vice Admiral Vivek Murthy who served under both Obama and Biden (it's a 4 yr appointment). The Surgeon General is the head of the Commission Corp and advises the president on public health matters. The Corps is an off-shoot of the Marines uses Naval ranks. The Corps consists of a vast array of doctors nurses, pharmacists, social workers and support staff. They help staff a lot of the Indian and military hospitals and are active in public health planning and intervention. The only reasoin I'm so smart about this is my step-father was in the Commission Corps 30 yrs as an officer until he retired after about 12 years ago.
F***i is not part of the Corpos except,probably, as a consultant due to C***d (note: he has no naval rank) and the FBI has no bearing or connection with them.

Understood, Iliamna.My question was why isn't that arm of the "govern"ment deployed,or even mentioned during this National crisis ? I remember cigarettes in the sixties... The Surgeon General's name was on every pack ; he was a trusted, well-funded authority on matters of the countries' health. He and his team weren't partisan. Now, we get this jacoby nobody's ever heard of, being wishy-washy, putting ineffective diapers on many people's faces, and shutting down a healthy economy. The F.B.I.comment was just a pre-coffee afterthought of yet another ineffective bunch that are starting to look pretty sinister. Peace.

Keep in mind the position of Surgeon General is a political appointment - made by the President.

Agree . All security agencies should be audited and thinned or abolished. Do we really need the CIA NSA DHS TTF as well as 5 more lesser known security agencies (at least) One or two maybe plus theDOJ and FBI but get rid of all the brass political lackeys
