The Department on Education... time to go?

Is it just me or has the quality of education in our country declined since the Department of Education was created. I suggest that it's time to get the government out of the schools and leave it to the locals. Can't find a thing in the constitution that gives the federal govt. any power to be involved in our children's education. I have also noticed that there has been a call for parents to confront their local school officials on CRT, etc. I contend that any taxpayer has a right to speak out whether they have children in the school or not. The parents could use the back-up.

Funny you should ask... A Loudoun Co. School superintendent thinks they shouldn't make decisions on what adults want.. so, guess it's all children running the district..
