The drudge Report posted online today (9-5-14) that a New Record of 92,269,000 Americans 16 and older did not participate in the US Labor Force in August 2014. The participation rate matches a 36 year low figure of 62.8 percent. These figures are furnished by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

My question to anyone included in this group of 92.260,000 Americans, are you better off today than 6 years ago? Do you personally think that our current US Government is doing everything that can be done to create jobs and increase employment? Why are available jobs shrinking within the US job market? Why are employment gains in employment going to either i*****l a***ns or green card aliens? What are you personally going to do to make Washington aware that you are not happy about the direction our country has taken. In your opinion, which political party would work hard to see that employment opportunities are expanded? V**e in November to make your voice heard!!

In addition you have to ask the black population if they have been rewarded by the Obama administration with meaningful work. Or, are they just content with living on the liberal plantation and picking their cotton.

You see: While unemployment nationwide is 6.1%, the unemployment rate for b***k A******ns at 11.4% is more than double the rate for w***e A******ns, who have an unemployment rate of 5.3%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

The unemployment rate for Latino Americans, at 7.5%, is also lower than the unemployment rate for b****s. Perhaps the Latino population is still being lobbied as future Democratic v**ers, while Obama considers the black population as safely tucked away in his lock box.

Well well well do you think any one is smart enough to figure out why the unemployment rate is so high. I will enjoy reading your answers.

My granddaughter 6 years ago was a 16 year old junior in high school and now is a Senior in a major university. I would say she is better off. Including people 16 years old in this statistic is misleading as the same labor report has over 11 million Americans reported as age 16 - 19 not in labor force.

Doesn't matter. Total labor force always included them so any comparison to previous years must be measured against the same criteria.

You better guess again wait till she has to get job. And pay off student loans. Then you will see the big picture.
