Lord's Prayer
By a 15-year-old school kid who got an A+ for this entry (TOTALLY AWESOME)!

The Lord's Prayer is not allowed in most U.S. Public schools anymore.
A kid in Minnesota wrote the following NEW School Prayer:-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now
Our hair can be purple, orange, or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone, we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues, and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong.
We're taught that such 'judgments do not belong.
Study witchcraft, vampires, and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on.
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me,
I will be ashamed of you before my Father!
~~~~~~~~~AWESOME~~~~~~~~~~

Capt., I just want to remind you that in spite of the Trump years, we still have freedom of religion in this country. Thomas Jefferson is the author of this freedom, and said that there should be a wall between church and state. This wise man wanted to protect the church from undue influence of the state, and vice versa.
When I was a little boy, we said the Lords Prayer, and grace before meals in school. Being Jewish, this made me feel isolated and uncomfortable. How many other non Christian kids were made to feel this way?
Another problem with prayer in school is whose prayer should children say? Would you like your child to say the Allah Akbar? The US Constitution forbids government favoritism in religion. That means your kid would have to say prayers of other religions.

Well, if you took a little time and went to a school today you will find there is none of that. Plus no one made you say the Lord's pray in your day. I wager you never read the Torah anyway.

Capt. I was forced to say the lords prayer, and Christian grace. Refusing to say these prayers would have isolated me further. The last thing a nine year old wants is to be made to feel different from his friends.
I happen to read the Torah every Saturday in synagogue. It is the high point of the Jewish Sabbath service. I am both a believer and a gun owner. I own a Sig 365 9mm handgun. Some n**i threatened to shoot up my synagogue, and the Rabbi asked me to bring it to synagogue just in case.
Religion is the province of parents. It is up to them to see to the spiritual life of their children, not the school system.

No, you are lying!
Plus Jefferson only made a comment that pointed out what King Herry the 8th did making the Church of England banning all other religions. So, here we all see how poor your learning was.
You are right about the province of parents, but Americans now leave all the rising of their kids to the schools.

why would you say someone is lying even if they are wrong?

You are actually wrong about what you say he is lying about, it is actually a fact, should you be called a liar, stupid, or just wrong?

Capt, Jefferson was the writer of the freedom of religion Act in Virginia. He was a complicated man. He was a strict constructionist, meaning he believed if it wasn't in the constitution, you couldn't do it, but he never asked anybodies permission to buy the Louisiana territory from France. He didn't believe in the institution of s***ery in Virginia, but that didn't stop him from being a major s***e owner, and had children with one of his s***es.

Jefferson wrote the Freedom of Religion Act for his native state, Virginia. He carried that message to other federal documents and the Constitution as well. Of all the great things he did, and the few things he did that weren't so great, he wanted this fact on his tombstone.

Jeffersons comments about the "Separation of Church and State" is not a law.
If you read Jeffersons' writing you will see he was a Conservative/Republican. He was very smart unlike you.
