I read in The Center for Public Integrity, a nonpartisan news organization that Gazprombank GPB, a Russian bank has hired two former Senators for lobbyist. Gazprombank is controlled by Russia's state-owned energy company Gazprom, Russia's largest gas producer.

Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott and former Senator John Breaux are listed as the main lobbyists. The purpose of the lobbying effort is to affect the sanctions leveled against this bank by the US Treasury Department.

I feel that former elected officials should have the moral if not the legal obligation to not represent an enterprise that is being sanctioned by the USA. Especially when this enterprise is controlled by a state that the USA, NATO, and the European Union are trying to using sanction over the Ukrane.

In case you haven't realized it yet, the type of person drawn to "public service", isn't high on integrity or morality. That type of person is subject to aggrandizement, hedonism, self centeredness and selfishness. So, it isn't surprising that they would also be drawn to wh**ever enterprise - made them the most money and allow them to wield the most power. Such as lobbying AGAINST Americas interests, or working for Wall Street ( Eric Cantor), which amounts to the same thing.

So they can continue "servicing" us. My grandpa had a prize bull used to do the same for his neighbors' heifers. They didn't stay heifers very long.

Here's a place to interject my answer: Dr. Ben Carson: a God-fearing and moral individual with integrity and great character, humble yet strong and NOT wanting to go into public service but has said he would if the American people want him. We need a man like him in the WH. He in turn would enlist good people. How refreshing that would be! Now, what is America going to do???

And, Harry Reid's son is a lobbyist for a Red Chinese conglomerate that is building solar plants in Nevada. It's not illegal, if you don't like it, change the law.

Senator Lott was the REPUBLICAN Senate Majority Leader. Now REPUBLICIAN Eric Cantor after losing the primary for office has signed a deal for a reported $4million to be a lobbyist.

He fails to mention that a former Democrat Senator took the same deal as Lott.

Liberals only see "their side of everything". No reasoning at all.
